We're celebrating 10 years as LA's first independent music web site by giving free web sites for one year to 10 local artists. Sites will include:

• Your own domain name (if you don't have one already)
• Photos and graphics of any kind
• Unlimited text
• Two full songs - in RealAudio and MPEG formats.
• Streaming Video - We can make encoded video available on your page in RealVideo or Quicktime format. We can also encode video for you (additional charge).
• Performance schedule - A continually updated listing of your upcoming performances. This a unique feature that few other services offer. Changes or additions to your schedule are usually made within 24 hours.
• Online Sales of your music to credit card holders.

How To Apply:

Simply email two .mp3 files of your original music to dean@lamusic.com, along with your contact information by May 31, 2005. Artists will be selected for their diversity, originality and technical mastery.

Conditions:

• You must be based in Southern California (ZIP code prefixes 900 - 939).
• You must be an active artist, having performed or released a recording in the last year.
• Have at least one CD or other recording for sale, and enter into the LAmusic Credit Card Sales agreement to sell your recordings online ($25 fee will be waived).
• Your web site will be set up using the lamusic.com standard template. If you wish to customize and maintain your site on your own, we will provide FTP access. Examples of the standard template: Kathleen Wilhoite | Jefferson Denim | Susan's Room | Freak Juice
• Your web site is free for one year, with no obligation to continue beyond the free period.

There are a number of other music sites to choose from. The advantages lamusic.com has over other services include:
