This is a four ply pickguard; the top layer is brown tortoise and appears to be nitrocellulose plastic or a similar formulation, the next layer just beneath the tortoise and the back layers are parchment vinyl. The middle layer is black vinyl. There are nine countersunk pickguard screw holes around the perimeter of the pickguard. There's a deep scoop in the truss rod adjustment area. Brand New.
